In the 2024/2025 season, she will appear at festivals in Germany, Japan, Ireland, and Italy, among others, and will perform Béla Bartók's Violin Concerto No. 2 with conductor Gábor Takács-Nagy and the Württemberg Philharmonic. Return invitations in Germany include the Münster Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Golo Berg and the Jena Philharmonic, performing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto under the direction of Simon Gaudenz. She will also perform at the Music of Hope Festival in Mainz and at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.
In 2016, Mirijam Contzen was appointed Professor of Violin at the Berlin University of the Arts. Her primary focus is the promotion of young musicians and her commitment to educational processes in society.
In January 2020, she released a recording of Franz Clement's two violin concertos with the WDR Symphony Orchestra under Reinhard Goebel on Sony Classical. The Second Violin Concerto was a world premiere recording. This album was awarded the German Record Critics' Prize (Best List 02/2020) and the OPUS Klassik for "Concert Recording of the Year." In the 2021/22 season, as part of Sony Classical's "New Mozarts" series, the Violin Concerto in E-flat major, K. 365, once attributed to WA Mozart, was released for the first time since 1965. For her debut CD, which won the Echo Award in 2001, she selected very rarely performed works by Hubay, Ferrara, and Geszler. Numerous other recordings can be found on various labels.
Since the beginning of her concert career, Mirijam Contzen has also advocated for the performance of lesser-known repertoire. In 2021, Iván Fischer invited her to perform Beethoven's Violin Concerto under his direction with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin in Budapest and Berlin at the Bridging Europe Festival.
